Alien Breed
Imagine a ‘zoomed-in’ Gauntlet with interactivity and mission goals. Throw in about 1,000,000 aliens and you’ve got some idea of what Alien Breed was all about. Just as the Bitmap Brothers strove to recreate the classic arcade games of yester-year, so too did Team 17 draw their inspiration from similar sources.

With tongue firmly in cheek, Team 17 threw every trick at their disposal at you. Fast reflexes, lots of keys and an itchy trigger finger were the only way to progress in this game.
There were some tactics involved though. You could seal off bulkhead doors, trapping aliens in previously explored sections.

You also had access to the ship’s computers which, despite having damaged monitors, came equipped with 2Gb of RAM and DOS 5.0!
In the computer you could check your mission status, buy equipment and weapons, check your map and even take time out for quick game of Pong!
