SNES owners, hungry for more Mario would play just about anything, thought Nintendo. Including remakes of the original 8-bit Mario series on the 16-bit SNES.

Super Mario Bros (1985), Super Mario Bros – The Lost Levels (1986), Super Mario Bros 2 – Mario Madness (1988), Super Mario Bros 3 (1990) were all there in their original glory. Although Nintendo did retouch the graphics and sound to take advantage of the SNES’ superior abilities. So you got all the gameplay without the chunkiness.
